The Mobjacks are coming home to their roots when Ware River Yacht Club hosts a celebration of their 50th National Championship Regatta August 21-23 just off the Mobjack Bay in Gloucester, VA. The regatta includes a reunion sailing event and dinner on Saturday the 22nd. The regatta and reunion events are open to all present and former Mobjack sailors and enthusiasts. John Ritter of Hampton Yacht Club will be the Principle Race Officer with local knowledge and guidance from Rick Klein. If you would like to participate, please contact Tom Roberts at (804) 843-2682 or mobjack451@cox.net or are interested in helping with Race Committee contact Tom Roberts or Rick Klein at (804) 693-5629. If you want to put your Mobjack back on the water or borrow one to sail or race, if you just want to join us for dinner or if you can help with one or more days of Race Committee we would like to hear from you. Racers will need to be or become members of the class, but reunion participants do not. |

There are two events leading up to the big event that will allow you to practice, tune up and get back in the Mobjack groove. We anticipate good Mobjack participation in the following: 45th Governors Cup Regatta at Ware River he first weekend in August (1st and 2nd) and the 70th Annual Regatta at Fishing Bay the weekend before, August 15th and 16th. |
